Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
Bridge BSS is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join their remote team in Sri Lanka. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium, as well as developing automation solutions with TypeScript and/or Java. The engineer will be responsible for API automation, integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced automation, AI, and cloud technologies, and to contribute to global projects for international clients.
Must have
- 3–5 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium.
- Strong working knowledge of TypeScript and/or Java.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining UI automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Page Object Model (POM) and modular automation frameworks.
- Experience with TestNG and/or Cucumber/BDD.
- Proven experience in API automation testing using REST Assured and/or Playwright.
- Practical experience with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web application architecture.
- Good understanding of software testing processes, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
