Data Engineer
About the role
The Data Engineer role at Assetline Finance involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from core systems and business applications. The position requires assembling large, complex data sets, maintaining and enhancing a data warehouse using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies, and building data integrations, dashboards, and management reports to support business intelligence and performance monitoring. Candidates must ensure data accuracy, quality, integrity, and security, and work closely with various business teams to resolve technical issues and deliver effective data solutions. The role is part of Assetline Finance PLC, the flagship company of Assetline Group, which is a financial services arm of the David Pieris Group of Companies.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data engineering, ETL development, Advanced SQL, database management, and data integration.
- Practical experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes and handling large, complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern data platform technologies, preferably Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Python programming & analytical tools (Power BI).
- Experience in integrating data from multiple systems, working with APIs, and developing dashboards, management reports, and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with an understanding of data accuracy, integrity, security, performance optimization, and scalable data infrastructure.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical data solutions.
