Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
PayMedia, a leading financial technology company in Sri Lanka, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. The role involves defining and implementing test strategies for complex features and systems, reviewing requirements and technical designs, and balancing manual and automated testing approaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans, conducting various types of testing, developing automated test frameworks, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. Additional responsibilities include defect management, root cause analysis, mentoring junior QA engineers, and driving improvements in QA processes and tools. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with proven expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Proven expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Strong knowledge of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practice
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
