Software Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineering
About the role
The Software Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineering role involves developing and maintaining applications using C#/.NET and React/TypeScript, building APIs, integrations, and business applications, and working closely with business teams to identify and deliver automation solutions. The position requires developing Azure-based automation, working with APIs, webhooks, messaging, and event-driven architectures, as well as developing AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry and related technologies. Responsibilities also include managing CI/CD pipelines, supporting testing and production environments, and adhering to clean coding practices and engineering standards. Candidates should have strong experience in modern web development, cloud, and AI technologies.
Must have
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience in C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core Web API, React & TypeScript
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, modern web development, SOLID principles & design patterns
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, Git & CI/CD
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and integration services such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions & API Management
- Understanding of API integrations, event-driven architecture & workflow troubleshooting
- Experience with GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps pipelines and familiarity with Docker
- Interest or experience in AI-powered applications, LLMs, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AI Agents, RAG & Prompt Engineering
- Strong willingness to learn and apply AI and cloud technologies to practical business solutions
