About the role

The Senior Software Engineer (.NET) role is a contract position at a leading IT company, focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality enterprise applications using .NET technologies. The engineer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, optimize application and database performance, lead technical design decisions, and mentor junior developers. The position requires strong proficiency in .NET development, experience with databases, microservices, and AI-assisted development tools, and the ability to work across diverse tech stacks. The role is for a 6-month contract and operates in the UK Time Zone (GMT).

Must have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft .NET development.
Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Razor Pages.
Expertise in MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, RESTful APIs, and database optimization.
Experience with microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and software design patterns.
Knowledge of Azure, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git.
Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
Experience with React, Docker, Kubernetes or message brokers is an added advantage.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control.
Proven ability to work effectively across multiple tech stacks and programming languages.
A strong advantage will be experience with front-end technologies and cloud platforms.
