Altus Vera is seeking a Trainee Business Solutions Analyst (Intern) to join their team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role is designed for undergraduates or recent graduates interested in business technology and consulting. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive industry training, work alongside experienced consultants, and participate in live client projects from the outset. Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Ability to analyse information from multiple sources, identify patterns, and form structured, evidence-based recommendations
- Foundational understanding of software systems, databases, or IT infrastructure — enough to communicate effectively with technical teams
- Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets, producing structured documentation, and building professional presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication in English — able to write clearly, present confidently, and adapt your message for different audiences
- Comfortable engaging with clients and senior stakeholders in a professional setting
- A collaborative team player who listens well, contributes actively, and follows through on commitments
- Genuine eagerness to learn — about business, technology, AI, digital transformation, and consulting practice
- Self-motivated and able to manage time and priorities effectively under guidance from senior team members
- Detail-oriented and thorough in documentation, research, and task execution
- Looking to build a long-term career, not just complete a short-term placement
- Able to work on-site in Colombo on a full-time basis
Nice to have
- A strong academic record is an advantage, but attitude, aptitude, and drive matter more
- Exposure to or interest in ERP systems, CRM platforms, project management tools, or business intelligence tools is an advantage
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles, systems thinking, or agile methodologies is a plus
