Senior QA Engineer
About the role
The Senior QA Engineer role at Trident MediaWorks involves performing both manual and automated testing of modern web applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs). The position requires reviewing source code to identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and code quality issues, as well as testing REST APIs, backend logic, authentication, and third-party integrations. The engineer will validate frontend quality, design and maintain automated testing frameworks, build automation processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality. The role also encourages exploring AI-powered tools and innovative approaches to enhance QA efficiency.
Must have
- 5+ years of professional QA experience in modern web development environments.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, databases, and web technologies.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing, test automation, and SPA testing.
- Ability to review source code and identify technical issues beyond the user interface.
- Experience testing REST APIs, authentication, authorisation, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and QA strategy development.
- Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with project management and issue-tracking tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or Trello.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- A proactive mindset, adaptability, and willingness to take on new technical challenges.
