IT Technician
About the role
The IT Technician will provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain IT systems, and ensure the smooth daily operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include first-level technical support, installing and troubleshooting computers and network equipment, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems, maintaining LAN and Wi-Fi, and managing user accounts. The role requires a relevant diploma or professional qualification, knowledge of computer hardware and software, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, printers, networking, and good troubleshooting skills. The position is open to male candidates and is based near Colombo.
Must have
- Diploma, Higher Diploma, or relevant professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- Basic to good knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, printers, and networking.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in an IT support or technician role will be an added advantage.
