Senior Software Engineer – WordPress / Laravel (EC-63)
About the role
The Senior Software Engineer role at Eyepax focuses on developing scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using WordPress and Laravel as primary technologies. The position involves building and maintaining WordPress themes, plugins, custom functionality, and Laravel applications, as well as integrating REST APIs, third-party services, and HubSpot CRM/CMS solutions. The engineer will also develop responsive UI components with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, and work with MySQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms. Collaboration with clients and internal teams, troubleshooting production issues, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools are key aspects of the role. Candidates should have at least 5 years of software engineering experience and a strong background in the required technologies. Must have
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong commercial experience with WordPress, PHP, and Laravel.
- Experience developing WordPress themes, plugins, custom functionality, and Laravel applications.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM/CMS, APIs, and marketing integrations.
- Working knowledge of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with MySQL, REST APIs, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Understanding of web security, performance optimization, responsive design, and SEO.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and guide other developers.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, or agentic coding.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with headless WordPress, GraphQL, or modern React frameworks.
- Experience with advanced HubSpot CRM integrations and workflow automation.
