QA Intern
About the role
The QA Intern position offers an opportunity for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to gain hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing within a professional development team in Colombo. The role involves assisting with manual testing of web and mobile applications, preparing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, performing various types of testing, and maintaining test documentation. Interns will also work with developers and QA team members to resolve issues and participate in the software development lifecycle. The company provides mentorship, exposure to real-world projects, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills in Quality Assurance.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, diploma, or certification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of manual testing principles and test case preparation.
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman would be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, or programming languages is beneficial.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
