Technical Project Manager
About the role
Taxxa is seeking a Technical Project Manager in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to drive the delivery of their AI-powered accounting workspace for accountants, auditors, and payroll teams. The role involves taking ownership of the software delivery process from feature definition through QA, release, and follow-up, with a strong emphasis on using AI tools to improve speed and quality. Candidates will work closely with engineers, manage issue tracking, coordinate QA, and ensure product quality while adapting to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment. Must have
- Practical experience delivering software and taking responsibility for results.
- Strong daily use of AI tools in real work, with examples of how they improved speed or quality.
- The judgment to check AI output, test assumptions, and stay accountable for decisions.
- A technical foundation: you can discuss APIs, databases, Git, testing, and deployment with engineers.
- Experience with issue and feature tracking tools such as GitHub Issues, Linear, or Jira.
- Clear written and spoken communication, strong organisation, and consistent follow-through.
- Comfort with changing priorities, short feedback cycles, and a high pace of work.
- The drive to learn quickly, take initiative, and accelerate your career by solving difficult problems.
Nice to have
- A software engineering background is preferred. You may be an engineer ready to take on wider delivery responsibility.
