About the role

The Technical Lead role involves providing technical leadership and hands-on development support for a modern SaaS platform utilizing React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS. The position requires working closely with development teams and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. Responsibilities include designing and implementing solutions, contributing to architecture and API design, leading development of RESTful APIs and microservices, reviewing code, establishing best practices, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring developers. The role also involves troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating with stakeholders, and integrating AI tools to improve the software development lifecycle.

Must have

7+ years of experience in software engineering, with proven experience in a Tech Lead, Technical Lead, or senior engineering role.
Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Strong understanding of scalable application architecture and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application deployment.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, system integrations, and microservices.
Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, secure software development, and DevSecOps practices.
Experience with data modelling and data-intensive, reporting, or calculation-driven applications.
Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, scalability, and high availability.
Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to mentor developers and drive technical quality across projects
Strong understanding of how AI can be effectively integrated into the software development lifecycle, including AI-assisted development, code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, automation, and software quality improvement.

Nice to have

Experience working with reporting platforms, business intelligence solutions, data pipelines, or calculation engines will be an advantage.
Experience with compliance, auditability, or regulated reporting environments will be an advantage.
