IFS Finance Consultant
About the role
The IFS Finance Consultant will lead finance workstreams across IFS implementation, upgrade, and support projects for a global enterprise software consultancy. The role involves engaging with finance stakeholders, understanding business and control requirements, and designing solutions that ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. Key responsibilities include running workshops, configuring IFS Finance processes, coordinating with technical teams, overseeing testing, supporting go-live activities, and providing guidance to colleagues. The position requires significant hands-on experience with IFS Finance, strong functional expertise, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
Must have
- At least 5 years of hands-on IFS Finance experience, with typically 8+ years of overall ERP or finance systems experience.
- Experience delivering 2–3 end-to-end IFS Finance implementations, in addition to upgrade or support project experience.
- Strong functional expertise in IFS Finance and its integration with Projects, Maintenance, Manufacturing or Supply Chain.
- Ability to lead requirements gathering, solution design, configuration decisions and customer discussions with limited supervision.
- Experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud; familiarity with Aurena is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, controls, reconciliations and the implications of system changes on financial reporting.
- Excellent client communication, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- A degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline; Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant qualification is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements and to work effectively with distributed project teams.
- Experience supporting multi-company or multi-currency finance environments.
- Experience with finance data migration, reporting, integrations or IFS Cloud transformation programmes.
