Manager – IT & Compliance
About the role
The Manager – IT & Compliance will oversee the organization's technology infrastructure, digital systems, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory compliance frameworks within a leading travel and tourism company in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Key responsibilities include managing IT operations, cloud and network infrastructure, data privacy, IT governance policies, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS. The role also involves vendor management, digital transformation initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and conducting IT audits and risk assessments. Candidates should have a strong background in IT management, cybersecurity, and compliance, with hands-on technical expertise and leadership skills.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in an IT management, cybersecurity, or IT compliance leadership role.
- Deep understanding of IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity protocols, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Microsoft 365), and data privacy regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Hands-on expertise in network architecture, systems administration, database security, firewall configuration, and IT audit methodologies.
- Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, risk management, stakeholder communication, and team leadership capabilities.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, ITIL, ISO 27001) are highly advantageous.
- Experience in the travel, hospitality, or e-commerce sector is a plus.
