Manager, AI Engineering
About the role
The Manager, AI Engineering at H2O.ai will lead technical and data science activities to support sales and customer success, ensuring clients build and deploy AI and GenAI projects effectively. The role involves acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and prospects, leading engineering and AI activities, providing machine learning expertise, architecting AI solutions, and managing a team of machine learning and AI engineers. The position is based in Sri Lanka and requires strong communication skills, technical leadership, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Must have
- Bachelors / master’s or a higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales engineering experience working in the field of Gen AI/ML, in a pre- sales customer facing role
- Strong knowledge of Python programming and familiarity with various data munging and machine learning libraries is required.
- In depth understanding of machine learning algorithms and experience applying Gen AI/ML to solve real work problems, including deployment of end-to-end ML pipelines.
- Experience with Cloud platform architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter, able to work without any supervision.
- Comfortable with traveling up to 50%
