Business Data Analyst Intern
About the role
The Business Data Analyst Intern role is designed for undergraduates or recent graduates interested in business intelligence and data analysis. The intern will work closely with both business and technical teams to collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data, supporting data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities include preparing reports and dashboards, analyzing datasets for trends and insights, writing basic SQL queries, and assisting in the development and tracking of business KPIs. The position offers practical experience with real-world business data and exposure to analytics tools and business processes.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/HND/diploma in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and data organization.
- Understanding of data analysis concepts such as data cleaning, aggregation, trends, and KPIs.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar analytics tools will be an added advantage.
