Technical Lead – AI & Application Development
About the role
The Technical Lead – AI & Application Development will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications and AI-powered solutions within the healthcare technology and revenue cycle management industry. The role involves evaluating and implementing AI models, developing AI-driven workflows, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring secure, scalable application architectures using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies. The position requires strong technical leadership, collaboration with business stakeholders, and mentoring of development teams. The company, InTalent Asia, is recruiting for a client based in Colombo 04, with work conducted onsite.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise technology solutions within healthcare, banking, telecom, or similar industries.
- Hands-on experience applying AI models in real-world business workflows and decision-making processes.
- Strong understanding of AI model selection, implementation approaches, and cost optimization considerations.
- Experience working with advanced AI platforms, AI studios, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience working with Jupyter Notebooks or similar environments for AI experimentation and solution development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment frameworks.
- Strong experience in application development using React, React Native, Spring Boot, MS SQL, and cloud-based database platforms.
- Good understanding of containerization technologies and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of application security, infrastructure security, and Day 0/Day 1 security principles.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and confidently engage with business stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
Nice to have
- Experience within Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) environments.
- Exposure to Verification of Benefits (VOB), Authorization Management, Medical Coding, Billing, Payment Posting, and Collections processes.
- Experience leading distributed or offshore engineering teams.
- Exposure to machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI governance frameworks.
- Relevant cloud, AI, or development certifications will be an added advantage.
