Senior Software Engineer - Laravel
About the role
This role is for a Mid-Level Laravel Backend Developer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on building customer engagement and digital loyalty solutions. The position involves designing scalable backend services, developing robust APIs, and working closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and maintainable backend solutions. Key responsibilities include backend development using Laravel, API design, integration with AWS services, supporting CI/CD and DevOps initiatives, and contributing to documentation and continuous improvement. Must have
- 4+ years of experience developing backend applications using Laravel or similar PHP frameworks
- Experience building and maintaining backend services, workers, and scheduled processes
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Experience working with and extending existing production codebases
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Working knowledge of AWS services
- Experience with CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines
- Strong understanding of relational databases and backend architecture
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and deployment best practices
- Understanding of secure coding practices and API security
- Experience participating in code reviews and collaborative development
- Strong interest in AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies
- Ability to manage multiple development tasks and stakeholder expectations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn from experienced team members
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and contribute ideas

Nice to have
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous
