Associate Engineer - TechOps
About the role
The Associate Engineer - TechOps role is an entry-level position within the Technical Operations team at CodeGen International (Pvt) Ltd. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the availability, stability, and performance of core software products and client environments. Responsibilities include supporting the deployment and maintenance of multi-tier application architectures, monitoring environments, participating in release deployments, assisting with incident resolution, and automating routine tasks. The role offers hands-on exposure to Linux infrastructure, enterprise systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies, providing a strong foundation in IT operations and automation.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (recent graduates or final-year candidates with relevant project experience are welcome).
- Strong foundational knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, command-line utilities, filesystem management, and basic system administration (RHCSA coursework or certification is an added advantage).
- Good understanding of web protocols, client-server models, networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S), and 3-tier system architecture.
- Academic or practical exposure to tools such as Git, Jenkins, Postman, SoapUI, or SQL query tools (e.g., DBeaver, SQL Developer).
- Basic scripting ability in Bash, Python, or standard shell scripting.
- Foundational understanding of cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, OCI) is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills.
- Fast learner with a proactive attitude toward learning new tools and operational methodologies.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
