Lead/Senior Lead Software Engineer - Agentic AI Engineering
About the role
The Lead/Senior Lead Software Engineer - Agentic AI Engineering at IFS will play a key role in shaping the next generation of sustainability solutions for asset-intensive organizations. The role involves end-to-end ownership of product capabilities, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ensuring operational reliability. The engineer will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Domain Experts, and other Engineers to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions, leveraging modern engineering practices and intelligent automation. The position is part of the IFS Sustainability Application team, focusing on products that help customers measure environmental impact, govern sustainability performance, and streamline regulatory disclosures.
Must have
- Strong hands-on experience with Go.
- Experience with Kafka / Redpanda.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience building and operating microservices-based systems on Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in agentic AI development using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, including orchestrating LLMs and AI agents to deliver enterprise-grade applications.
- Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD); exposure to methodologies such as BMAD is considered beneficial.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology along with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with an innovative mindset.
Nice to have
- Frontend development experience with React would be beneficial.
