Intern - Data Analyst
About the role
The Data Analyst Intern will support the data analytics team by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing business data, preparing regular reports, developing dashboards, and automating reporting processes. The role involves using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and data visualization platforms like Power BI or Looker Studio. The intern will also utilize AI tools for data analysis and automation, and assist with system integrations and reporting projects. Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a relevant degree or diploma and possess strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. The position is based in Dehiwala and is suitable for those interested in gaining practical experience in data analytics and automation.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Data Analytics, IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Microsoft Excel: Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, data cleaning, data validation, Power Query, and report automation.
- Google Sheets: Formulas, data management, and reporting.
- Google Apps Script: Basic scripting and report automation.
- Data Visualization: Knowledge of Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar dashboard tools.
- AI Tools: Familiarity with ChatGPT or other AI tools for data analysis, formula creation, and problem-solving.
- Process Automation: Interest in AI-powered automation, workflow automation, and application or system integrations.
- Python: Basic programming knowledge; familiarity with Pandas is an advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Logical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Communication: Good communication, teamwork, time management, and willingness to learn.
