Android Tech Lead
About the role
The Android Tech Lead will guide the mobile team at Fortuna Global and drive the development of high-quality, scalable Android applications. The role involves leading, mentoring, and guiding a team of Android developers, architecting and building scalable mobile apps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting code reviews, and ensuring best practices. The position requires strong technical skills in Android development, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills. Must have
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development
- Expertise in Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Material Design principles
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party SDKs
- Hands-on experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Dependency Injection (Dagger/Hilt/Koin)
- Familiarity with Firebase, Google Play Console, and App Store release management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
