About the role
The QA Engineer will be responsible for preparing test scenarios and cases based on business and functional requirements, performing various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. The role involves identifying and tracking software defects, verifying fixes, and conducting regression testing prior to releases. The QA Engineer will test web applications, APIs, and system integrations, validate data and business processes, and maintain test documentation. Collaboration with developers and business teams is essential to resolve issues and support continuous improvement of QA processes.
Must have
- 3+ years of experience in software QA / software testing
- Good understanding of SDLC and software testing life cycle
- Experience with manual testing of web applications
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and API testing
- Experience using tools such as Jira or similar issue-tracking systems
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and tools such as Postman
- Good understanding of databases and basic SQL queries
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with developers and business users
