Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
About the role
This is a 6-month contract position for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright automation. The role involves designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright, as well as performing various types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end. The engineer will also analyze requirements, document and track defects, perform manual testing when needed, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. The position requires strong hands-on experience with Playwright, experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript in an automation environment, and familiarity with web application and API testing.
Must have
- Proven professional experience as a QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer / Automation QA Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright is essential.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Good understanding of web application testing and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript in an automation testing environment.
- Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing processes, and defect lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with API testing and tools used for validating REST APIs.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
