Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
Bridge BSS is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their remote team in Sri Lanka. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium, developing automation solutions in TypeScript and/or Java, and performing API automation testing. The engineer will integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with development and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, and contribute to continuous quality improvement. The position requires 3–5 years of QA experience with a strong focus on test automation, hands-on expertise in relevant tools and frameworks, and strong analytical and communication skills. Must have
- 3–5 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium.
- Strong working knowledge of TypeScript and/or Java.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining UI automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Page Object Model (POM) and modular automation frameworks.
- Experience with TestNG and/or Cucumber/BDD.
- Proven experience in API automation testing using REST Assured and/or Playwright.
- Practical experience with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web application architecture.
- Good understanding of software testing processes, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
