Product Development Intern
About the role
TESHVO BIOTECH is seeking a Product Development Intern to join their team in Nugegoda. The role involves developing and testing new food products, conducting R&D trials, improving formulations, performing sensory evaluations, researching ingredients and packaging, and assisting in moving successful trials to commercial production. Candidates should be undergraduates, final year students, or recent graduates in relevant fields such as Food Science, Biotechnology, or Microbiology, with a strong interest in food product development and good documentation and analytical skills. The position offers hands-on experience in real R&D projects, particularly focusing on seaweed as a food ingredient.
Must have
- Undergraduate, final year student or recent graduate in Food Science, Food Production Technology, Chemical & Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology or a related field
- Strong interest in food product development
- Curious, practical and willing to experiment
- Good documentation and analytical skills
- Able to take ownership of assigned projects and communicate progress clearly
- Willing to work on site in Nugegoda
