Senior Manager – Product Management
About the role
The Senior Manager – Product Management role at a leading financial services company in Rajagiriya involves owning, prioritizing, and grooming the product backlog for a product or team to ensure alignment with customer needs and business priorities. The position acts as the main contact for the Scrum team on product-related questions, participates in Agile ceremonies, translates product vision into actionable plans, and validates deliverables. The role also requires collaborating with stakeholders, defining success metrics, and ensuring features meet quality, security, and compliance standards. Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is a strong plus.
- 4 - 8 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
- Demonstrated experience owning and managing a product backlog for at least one product, feature area, or platform.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and experience working directly within a Scrum team.
- Strong skills in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and grooming a backlog for clarity and delivery-readiness.
- Good analytical skills, with comfort using data and customer feedback to make prioritization calls.
- Clear, confident communicator able to work directly with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders day-to-day.
- Comfortable balancing shifting priorities and making pragmatic trade-off decisions under time constraints.
