Intern - Global IT Infrastructure & Information Security
About the role
This internship position in Global IT Infrastructure & Information Security involves providing support for global O365 product categories, troubleshooting Level 1 IT issues for global users, and assisting with Windows endpoint configuration and compliance. The intern will also help manage user security access for enterprise applications, monitor Microsoft Azure infrastructure security, and collaborate with senior engineers on new implementations. The role is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and is designed for students currently pursuing relevant IT or cybersecurity degrees or diplomas. The internship offers an attractive allowance, a 6-month duration, and the potential for a permanent position based on performance.
Must have
- Currently pursuing a degree or higher diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Networking, or a related discipline.
- Foundational understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, networking concepts, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and identity concepts; exposure to Azure or Microsoft Entra is an advantage.
- Holding or pursuing professional qualifications such as Microsoft Certifications or cybersecurity credentials is an added advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, work under pressure and collaborate as a good team player.
