System & Network Administrator
About the role
Gigabyte Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled System & Network Administrator to join their team in Sri Lanka. The role involves managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex IT environments for both local and international clients, including enterprise networks, cloud environments, firewalls, servers, storage, and managed IT services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience and the ability to independently resolve critical technical issues. Key responsibilities include working with firewalls, enterprise networking, Windows Server and cloud platforms, storage and backup solutions, and additional IT infrastructure such as VoIP, CCTV, and Linux systems. The company offers remote or hybrid working opportunities, exposure to multiple technologies, professional development, and performance-based incentives.
Must have
- Minimum 5+ years of proven hands-on experience in system and network administration.
- Strong practical knowledge of enterprise networking, firewalls, Windows Server, and IT infrastructure.
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve critical technical issues.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with international clients across different time zones and respond to critical incidents when required.
- Strong technical documentation, reporting, and change management practices.
Nice to have
- Certifications: CCNA / CCNP, Fortinet FCP, Microsoft Azure, or other relevant industry certifications are highly valued.
