Software Engineer - Python
About the role
The Software Engineer (Python + Django) role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Python, Django 5, and Django REST Framework. The position requires building and maintaining REST APIs, database models, and backend workflows, as well as developing asynchronous processing with Redis and Dramatiq. The engineer will integrate backend systems with Firebase, REST APIs, gRPC, and IoT devices, and collaborate with Data Science, Firmware, IoT, and Frontend teams. Additional responsibilities include supporting AI-driven workflows, analytics, and data pipelines, troubleshooting backend performance, and leveraging AI tools for development and testing. Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 experience with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker.
- Experience building scalable REST APIs and backend services.
- Familiarity with Firebase, gRPC, and service-to-service integrations.
- Understanding of asynchronous processing, background jobs, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for building high-quality software in a fast-paced product environment.
Nice to have
- Exposure to IoT, telemetry, AI/ML, or real-time systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Rust or full-stack development will be an added advantage.
