Junior IT Executive
About the role
The Junior IT Executive at Fairway Colombo will join the hotel's IT team to support the smooth operation of hotel IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves providing IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, maintaining IT equipment, monitoring network connectivity, and supporting hotel-specific IT systems such as IPTV, PABX, CCTV, and electronic door lock systems. The position also includes managing user accounts, assisting with server maintenance and IT security, maintaining IT asset records, and coordinating with external vendors. Candidates should have a relevant degree or HND, 1-2 years of IT support experience, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills. The role requires a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work on a roster basis, including day and night shifts.
Must have
- Currently following or have completed a Degree/HND in Information Technology, ICT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in IT support.
- Good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, computer hardware, software, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and networking.
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, servers, network equipment, and IT security.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, teamwork and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, sense of responsibility and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability and willingness to work on a roster basis, including day and night shifts.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with IPTV, PABX, CCTV, Electronic Door Lock Systems and hotel IT applications will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
