Next.js Developer
About the role
Kangaro Tech is seeking a Next.js Developer to join their team and contribute to the development of modern SaaS, business management, and AI-powered web applications. The role involves building and maintaining web applications using Next.js, developing responsive frontend components, integrating REST APIs, and working with backend technologies such as Node.js/Express.js and databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of hands-on experience with Next.js and be comfortable working with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Git-based workflows. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot issues, work with existing codebases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Must have
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with Next.js
- Strong knowledge of React
- Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with Next.js App Router
- Knowledge of API integration and REST APIs
- Experience with Node.js / Express.js or similar backend technologies
- Understanding of databases and SQL
- Good knowledge of Git and GitHub/GitLab
- Understanding of responsive web development
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently
- Ability to work with an existing codebase and follow established project requirements
Nice to have
- Experience with Prisma ORM
- Experience with PostgreSQL / Supabase
- Experience with Docker
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Experience developing SaaS or enterprise applications
- Understanding of software architecture and SOLID / OOP principles
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
