ERP Technical Consultant – Sage X3
About the role
The Sage X3 Technical Consultant role is responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting Sage X3 ERP solutions. The consultant will work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and business users to design and implement scalable technical solutions, including developing screens, reports, integrations, and data migration programs. The position requires hands-on experience with Sage X3 development tools, scripting, reporting, and integration mechanisms, as well as troubleshooting and supporting ERP implementations. The role is remote, based in Sri Lanka, and requires 3–7+ years of relevant ERP technical consulting experience, including participation in multiple end-to-end Sage X3 implementation projects.
Must have
- 3–7+ years of ERP technical consulting/development experience with strong hands-on Sage X3 experience.
- Experience in at least 2–3 end-to-end Sage X3 implementation projects.
- Strong experience with Sage X3 customization, integrations, reporting, and data migration.
- Good understanding of ERP business processes across Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Distribution, and Manufacturing.
- Ability to translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within functional and technical project teams.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Sage X3 technical certification would be an advantage.
- Previous experience with UAE/GCC Sage X3 implementations is preferred.
- Experience integrating Sage X3 with e-commerce platforms, WMS, POS, banking systems, payment gateways, CRM, HRMS, and other third-party applications would be an advantage.

Highlights
The position is remote but limited to candidates based in Sri Lanka. A bachelor's degree and Sage X3 technical certification are preferred but not mandatory. Experience with UAE/GCC implementations and integrating Sage X3 with various third-party systems is advantageous.
