Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
OpenStudio.TV Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position based in Colombo with a hybrid work arrangement. Must have
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with experience applying QA practices in a product or project environment.
- Hands-on skills in Manual Testing and Test Execution, including the ability to follow and refine test plans.
- Ability to design, write, and maintain clear and comprehensive Test Cases aligned to functional and non-functional requirements.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to identify edge cases and potential risks before release.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira or similar) and basic understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate constructively with engineering and product teams.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Colombo, manage time independently, and meet deadlines for test cycles and releases.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to have
- ISTQB or similar QA certification is an advantage.
