About the role

The Assistant Manager - IT & AI Projects at Finlays Colombo is responsible for leading the development and delivery of AI, automation, and digital solutions to simplify business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making. The role involves connecting business needs with technology, ensuring practical and successful adoption of solutions, and overseeing projects from design through to implementation and adoption. Key responsibilities include developing AI-enabled solutions, integrating digital systems, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring effective information flow between systems. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, at least 8 years of IT or digital transformation experience, and hands-on expertise in AI, machine learning, and enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Power BI, and ERP systems. Must have

Degree or professional qualification in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT, software development or digital transformation, including experience delivering AI, machine-learning or automation solutions in an enterprise environment.
Practical experience in AI solutions, data integration, Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Power BI and ERP environments.
Proven track record in taking technology solutions from concept through implementation, integration and user adoption.
An analytical and commercially aware professional with strong technical, project management and stakeholder-engagement skills.
