System Engineer
About the role
The System Engineer role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, operating systems, and IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, network connectivity, and security, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts and access controls, performing backups and routine maintenance, configuring network devices, providing technical support, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in IT or a related field, 2–3 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure, and strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup systems. The position is based in Colombo and is open only to male candidates.
Must have
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in System Administration / IT Infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and networking.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies is an advantage.
