Associate AI & Automation Engineer
About the role
Acendae is seeking an Associate AI & Automation Engineer to join their team full-time. The role involves working on AI, automation, and software challenges for international clients, including building and maintaining automations, integrating systems via APIs, working with databases, and developing AI-powered workflows. The position requires hands-on work with tools such as n8n, Make.com, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Claude, and MCP, as well as documenting solutions for scalability and maintainability. Candidates should have a solid technical foundation, be able to work independently, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills. The company offers the opportunity to work remotely from Sri Lanka with a growing international team.
Must have
- 2+ years of experience with n8n or a comparable automation platform
- Experience with REST APIs and webhooks
- Experience with Supabase and/or PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of databases and data modelling
- Experience working with LLMs and AI-powered workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to work independently and take ownership
- Good English communication skills
- Someone who asks questions and thinks along with the team
- Good documentation habits
- A strong willingness to learn and develop your skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with MCP and Claude is a strong plus
