About the role
Renrui Lanka is seeking an experienced Software Engineer – Application & Software to join their client’s team in Sri Lanka, supporting the implementation of telecommunications products for regional customers. The role involves end-to-end delivery of CBS/BSS solutions, including technical requirement clarification, product configuration, system and integration testing, infrastructure setup, troubleshooting, and post-go-live support. This is a customer-facing technical position with responsibilities such as analyzing requirements, configuring telecom modules, supporting data migration, and maintaining technical documentation. The position offers opportunities to work on regional projects and requires flexibility for travel.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, system implementation, or product delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, SQL and relational databases, and at least one scripting language such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with middleware, networking, software testing, version control, and CI/CD concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Willingness to work in a customer-facing environment and travel to regional customer sites, including Maldives, as required.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.
- Experience with CBS/BSS, telecom billing, charging, or OSS/BSS solutions is highly desirable.
