Technical Lead
About the role
Authentz is seeking a Technical Lead with 5-10 years of experience to join their engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production-grade software, with a focus on backend services using Java and Spring Boot, as well as modern web applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. The position also requires developing Python services, integrating third-party APIs, working with relational databases, and contributing to CI/CD and cloud deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of REST APIs, application security, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Authentz is building a technology platform for educational institutions to streamline admissions and workflow automation.
Must have
- 5-10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Good experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Working experience with Python.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.
- Good experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong Git and pull-request workflow experience.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
