DevOps & Cloud Engineer
About the role
Flat Rock Technology is seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Engineer to join their team focused on building scalable software solutions for global clients. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, automating tasks with scripting languages, managing servers, optimizing cloud resources, and ensuring security and compliance. The engineer will also develop CI/CD pipelines, manage virtualization, deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and collaborate with development teams. Must have
- 3–5 years in DevOps
- Strong Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and/or Windows Server administration
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation (IaC)
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong networking knowledge (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing)
- Cloud expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
- Security best practices (IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning)
- Git and version control experience
- Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
- Kubernetes operators, Helm charts
- Compliance knowledge (ISO 27001)
- Hybrid/multi-cloud experience
- Infrastructure cost optimization strategies
- Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications (AWS DevOps, CKA, etc.)
