AI Engineer (Arabic B2+ Required )
About the role
Type B Digital is seeking an AI Engineer with Arabic proficiency (B2 level or above) to join their remote team in Sri Lanka on a full-time contract for 8-12 months. The role involves building advanced Arabic speech technology, including text-to-speech, real-time speech recognition, and speech-to-speech conversational systems for various regional dialects. Responsibilities include benchmarking models, fine-tuning generative architectures, building data pipelines, optimizing inference for production, and integrating speech-to-speech pipelines. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of professional experience, strong Python and TypeScript skills, and experience with CI and test frameworks. Must have
- Spoken and written Arabic at B2 level or above
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred; diploma or equivalent
- At least 3-4 years of professional experience.
- Senior engineer who has owned quality for a shipped product, not only tested it
- Hands-on in Python and TypeScript, with Playwright or equivalent browser automation and experience owning CI gates
- Built a test framework or evaluation harness from scratch and kept it running in CI
Nice to have
- Speech metrics, LLM evaluation or telephony experience is a bonus, not the core
- Experience with high-performance CUDA kernels or speculative decoding.
