Project Manager
About the role
The Project Manager at Schemax (Pvt) Ltd will coordinate and drive end-to-end project activities for multiple technology initiatives, working closely with customers, stakeholders, development, and QA teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery. Responsibilities include planning, executing, monitoring, and closing IT projects, preparing project documentation, tracking milestones, facilitating meetings, supporting requirements gathering, and ensuring governance and change management processes are followed. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of industry experience with 5 years in IT project management or related roles, strong SDLC knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with project management and Microsoft Office tools. The position is onsite in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and offers opportunities to work on digital transformation projects in banking and enterprise sectors, with exposure to regional clients and career growth within a dynamic organization.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 Years industry experience with 5 years of experience in IT project management, business analysis, or software delivery roles.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Nice to have
- Knowledge or experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Payments domain will be a distinct advantage.
- Exposure to digital transformation, enterprise software implementation, systems integration, or portal development projects.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, CAPM, or Agile certifications will be advantageous.
