Assistant Manager- IT
About the role
The Assistant Manager - IT will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the hospital's LAN/WAN infrastructure, managing network switches and routers, installing and maintaining Windows Servers, monitoring network security, and providing high-level technical support. The role also involves overseeing the IT support team to ensure timely resolution of tickets and minimal downtime. Candidates must have a relevant degree or professional qualifications, hands-on experience in system and network administration, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. The position is with Ninewells Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka, offering an attractive remuneration package and opportunities for career growth.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., CCNP, MCSA/MCSE).
- Age below 40 years.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role (System and Network Administration).
- Extensive experience in Configuring Network Switches (Cisco/HP/Aruba) and troubleshooting network protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/ Virtualization).
- Experience with firewall management and VPN configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts if required for emergency maintenance.
