Social Media Content Creator + Video Editor - Remote | Work from Home
About the role
This full-time remote position is for a Social Media Content Creator and Video Editor responsible for developing, executing, and managing engaging social media strategies across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. The role involves managing posting schedules, collaborating with marketing and sales teams, tracking performance metrics, editing photos and videos, ensuring content aligns with branding, and staying updated on social media trends. Candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant experience, a diploma in Marketing, Social Media Management, Communications, or a related field, and an analytical mindset with knowledge of social media analytics tools.
Must have
- Minimum 2-4 years of prior experience in creating and editing social media content using appropriate content creation and editing software.
- Diploma in Marketing, Social Media Management, Communications or a related field.
- Analytical mindset with knowledge of social media analytics tools.
Nice to have
- Strong skills in creating motion graphics, reels and short-form video content.
- Ability to work with raw footage (photos and videos) and transform it into compelling narratives.
- Ability to develop engaging short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Self-driven, organised and able to meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; knowledge of Tamil and Sinhala is an added advantage.
- Highly organized with ability to work independently & efficiently.
