IT Business Analyst
About the role
Stalione Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, part of the Stalione Group, is seeking a full-time IT Business Analyst to join their team in the Colombo District. The role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with IT solutions. Responsibilities include mapping and optimizing business processes, collaborating with stakeholders, supporting IT system design and implementation, and coordinating with development and QA teams. The position also involves conducting stakeholder interviews, preparing functional documentation, and assisting with testing, training, and post-implementation reviews.
Must have
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate business challenges, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Business Analysis and Business Requirements skills to elicit, document, and manage stakeholder needs and translate them into actionable specifications.
- Candidates should possess Business Process skills to map current workflows, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Candidates should possess Information Technology skills to understand system capabilities, integrations, and constraints, and to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field; professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are an advantage.
- Experience working as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role within enterprise or consulting environments, preferably with exposure to digital transformation projects.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in the Colombo District, manage multiple priorities, and deliver outcomes within agreed timelines and quality standards.
