Data Engineer (Tableau)
About the role
The Engineer – Data Engineering – Tableau role involves designing and developing advanced dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions using Tableau and Power BI. The position requires replacing legacy and Excel-based reports with interactive BI solutions, translating business requirements into user-friendly dashboards, and maintaining existing Tableau and Power BI dashboards. The engineer will also write and optimize SQL SELECT statements, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with business users to recommend analytical solutions. The role supports migration to modern BI tools and involves training and coaching users, as well as maintaining technical documentation.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in business intelligence, report development, data analytics, or a related role.
- Expert proficiency in Tableau Desktop.
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI Desktop.
- Ability to demonstrate technical and visualization skills through a Tableau Public, Power BI, or similar portfolio.
- Expert proficiency in writing SQL SELECT statements.
- Strong technical, analytical, and data-visualization skills.
- Good understanding of visualization standards, dashboard usability, and reporting best practices.
- Experience converting Excel-based and legacy reports into interactive dashboards.
