Senior Software Engineer
About the role
The Senior Software Engineer role involves developing and maintaining backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, designing and developing REST APIs and microservices, and integrating AI Agents and LLM-based solutions. The position requires hands-on experience with Java, Spring frameworks, and integrating AI-powered applications, as well as applying secure practices for handling sensitive data. Responsibilities include collaborating with product teams, participating in technical discussions, performing code reviews, optimizing application performance, and supporting CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes deployments. Candidates must have at least 2 years of software development experience, strong knowledge of Java and related technologies, and experience with cloud platforms and API security. The role is contract-based, on-site, and requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Must have
- 2+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on Java expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17/21+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.
- Hands-on experience integrating an AI or LLM service into an application.
- Understanding of prompt design, embeddings, RAG, and vector search.
- Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, SQL, PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit and CI/CD.
- Experience with Docker and knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC, and API security.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical ownership skills.
- 2+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on Java development experience.
