URGENT HIRING | Business Operations Manager
About the role
FONIX EDU (PVT) LTD, an EdTech startup in Sri Lanka, is urgently seeking a full-time, onsite Business Operations Manager for their Ratnapura office. The role involves managing daily office operations, supervising employees, leading sales and marketing activities, coordinating software development projects, and overseeing customer support and onboarding. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a background in business operations, team management, or project management. The position requires hands-on management of cross-functional teams and direct reporting to the CEO, with a focus on operational efficiency and business growth.
Must have
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in business operations, team management, project management, or a similar role.
- Previous experience managing employees and coordinating multiple teams.
- Good understanding of sales, digital marketing, and business operations.
- Working knowledge of software project management, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT, Project Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Must be willing to work FULL-TIME ONSITE at our RATNAPURA office.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a startup or technology company.
- Experience managing software development and marketing teams.
- Knowledge of Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar project management tools.
- Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or digital product businesses.
