About the role

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation at HRC Labs is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and continuously improving automated testing solutions across UI, API, integration, and backend layers. The role involves building and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites, integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines, and leading risk-based testing and defect investigation. Candidates should have strong experience with Playwright and/or Selenium, Java and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, REST API testing, SQL, Git, and CI/CD automation. The position is full-time, based in Sri Lanka (hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in office) or remote from India, and requires at least 5 years of QA experience, including 3 years in test automation. HRC Labs is the technology arm of HealthRecon Connect, focusing on healthcare automation solutions.

Must have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant industry experience may be considered.
5+ years of overall software QA experience, including at least 3 years of strong hands-on test automation engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium, Java and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, REST API testing, SQL, Git, and CI/CD automation

Nice to have

ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is an advantage; experience with performance/load testing or healthcare, RCM, billing, EHR/EMR, or other regulated software is also an advantage.

Highlights

Work hours are 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (straddle shift). Sri Lanka candidates must work hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in office); India candidates may work remotely.
