AS 400 Engineer
About the role
The AS400 Engineer will support and maintain critical customer IT environments, focusing on Power Systems, AS/400, and IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, handling customer service requests, performing on-site hardware troubleshooting and repairs, supporting system hardware and software installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance, and working closely with both customers and internal technical teams. The role also involves managing spare parts and inventory, ensuring contractual requirements are met, and supporting new system implementations and modifications. The position is suited for candidates with a relevant technical degree and experience in AS400 or similar IT environments.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 1+ year of experience in AS400, Power Systems, or a similar IT environment
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with customers and technical teams.
- Willingness to provide on-site technical support when required.
